Designs a pump-driven integrated system combined with mechanical refrigeration and thermosyphon, connected by a plate heat exchanger. The integrated system can work in three operating modes, including thermosyphon free cooling, mechanical refrigeration and dual mode. The experimental results show that the system gains remarkable cooling effect in three working modes with their own temperature ranges. The energy efficiency ratio (EER) of the thermosyphon mode can reach 5.6 and 10.4 at the indoor and outdoor temperature difference of 10 ℃ and 18 ℃, respectively. The annual energy efficiency ratio(AEER) of the integrated system is 8.3, execeding twice of that in the traditional air conditioner. Simulation and calculation of a small cold room for the whole year in cities located in different climate zones of China shows that when the indoor temperature is set at 25 ℃, the annual energy saving rate can reach 18.0%,18.8%,31.5%,49.4%, respectively, compared with the traditional air conditioner.
